I'm a college student of UST and I always eat at Cerealicious, just this afternoon I thought of having a franchise at a mall near us so I suggested to my parents to have a franchise of Cerealicious. I want to know how much and what are the requirements needed. :) thank you.

Last Friday Feb 5, 2010, I had a harrowing experience at Cerealicious. my son wanted somethin to eat before having lunch at Shangrila Mall. We were on our way to Rustans, when he saw Cerealicious nearby. I told him i'll look around at some shops, while he gets something to eat there. but, eventually i decided to go back to him at Cerealicious, to sit and wait for him instead, while he finishes eating.... to my surprise "banana split". i went to the server and ask for "tap potable FREE water, but I was told they don't have any,.... "but, she readily offered and said "they have though WATER FOR SALE!" duh! What gave them the idea that all their diners would be willing to BUY WATER? i know that bottled water costs not as much as the banana split, but, since they are a diner - I as a consumer would expect that they have concern for their diners who would not want to spend 20 bucks just to quench their thirst. it's not that i'm being a scrooge, but .... I am really just in awe! "no drinkable FREE water"? and YES I didn’t have any choice, but shell out additional 20 bucks for a small sized bottled water.
I got hold of Joan, the cashier who gave me the name "Mrs. Paje" so I texted her, that it's so unfair that I have to pay for water that my son has to drink to wash away the sweetness of the ice cream, as well as avoid having tonsilitis! well, she tried twice calling me back, but unfortunately i was almost outta batt. but, she never bothered texting me.
anyway, i just personally feel that companies, proprietors, owners in the food business, should at least show concern for us diners who are not “rich” or too particular with water, that we could settle for FREE drinking water. Why do we have to buy water? Because it is sealed and in a bottle? It doesn’t necessarily mean, since it’s filtered, ergo clean. In the same way, that we do not have any choice of how they serve their food – to think that it is necessarily clean …
I am just one of the numerous middle class mothers I’m sure would agree, that we should not necessarily buy water when we eat at diners, especially, Shangrila Mall is one of the high end Malls. I just hope someone will do something…. I could’ve paid the 20 bucks instead to the Php45 worth of parking fee…
